VERNON - Harold W. Leslie III, 47, passed away at home on Sunday, Jan. 27, 2013. Born in Paterson, he is the son of Joanne (Howell) Leslie and the late Harold W. Leslie Jr. (2007). Harold had been a resident of Sussex County since 1971 and prior to that had spent his younger years in Hawthorne. Harold for 23 years was employed as a service specialist with Public Service Electric and Gas Company in Clifton. In his spare time he enjoyed the sport of motocross, and he had the great ability to fix anything and was always willing to help his family and friends. In addition to his father, he was predeceased by his paternal grandparents and his maternal grandfather. He is survived by his loving son, Harold W. Leslie IV; his sisters, Jill Kattermann and her husband, Andrew, of Wantage, and Jennifer Sumpman and her husband, Doug, of Wantage; his maternal grandmother, Hilda Howell, of West Milford; along with nieces and nephews, Hannah and Emma Kattermann and Lindsey and Spencer Sumpman. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his memorial visiting on Saturday, Feb. 9, at Ferguson-Vernon Funeral Home, 241 Route 94, Vernon, from 11 until a memorial service that follows.
