STILLWATER - Joseph A. Orsita, 74, of Stillwater, went home to be with the Lord on Feb. 3, 2013.

Born in Paterson, Mr. Orsita moved to Stillwater Township in 1986. He was a United States Army veteran. A master plumber for Orsita & Son in Stillwater, Mr. Orsita retired 10 years ago. Upon retirement he worked for PrimeAmerica as a financial consultant for three years. He had a deep faith and was a member of Living Waters Fellowship in Newton. A real people person, Mr. Orsita loved music and playing the guitar.

The son of the late Bruno and Josephine (Campilango) Orsita, Mr. Orsita also was predeceased by his sister, Marie Davidson. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Maria (Mathew) Orsita; six children, Donna Cuadros, of Lodi, Joseph Orsita, of Bloomfield, Michelle Orsita-Kaplan, of Clifton, Patricia Orsita, of Ogdensburg, Hans Paul, of Nutley, and Jans Paul, of Stillwater; one brother, Peter Orsita, of Haskell; and 10 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 7, at the First Presbyterian Church of Newton, 54 High St., Newton. Interment will follow in Stillwater Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday, Feb. 6, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., at Smith-McCracken Funeral Home, 63 High St., Newton.
