SUSSEX - Andrew "Pap" J. Dingman, 70, died at home on Monday, Feb. 11, 2013, after a long illness. Born to Andrew and Eva Dingman in Frankford, he had been a lifelong Sussex County resident. Mr. Dingman worked as a diesel mechanic for Harold M. Clark Excavating in Hardyston for 29 years before he retired in 2005. He took great joy in tinkering with cars and tractors and was a master at understanding their mechanics. Mr. Dingman was predeceased by a brother, Carmer Dingman; a sister, Rose Lee; and a stepbrother, Ed DeGraw; and was the loving companion of Sandra Wildrick, of Sussex. Devoted father of Andrew Dingman of Essex County, Margaret Dingman of Middletown, N.Y., Andrea McGrath of Woodbridge, Va., and Scott Dingman of Sussex. Dear brother of Richard Dingman of Belfonte, Pa. Cherished by seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Cremation was private by Ferguson Funeral Home, 27 Third St., Sussex.
