Henry G. Rouwendal Jr.

VERNON - Henry G. Rouwendal Jr., 55, died after a short illness at Chilton Memorial Hospital, Pequannock, on Monday, Feb. 11, 2013. Born to Henry G. Sr. and Eleanor Rouwendal in Hawthorne, he was raised there before moving to the Lake Panorama section of Vernon Township 27 years ago.

Mr. Rouwendal worked as a service engineer for Bookholt Associates in Pompton Plains for many years. He enjoyed golf, biking, doing yard work and loved cars.

Mr. Rouwendal was predeceased by his wife, Kathleen Rouwendal (2010), and his mother, Eleanor Rouwendal, and was the devoted father of Ann Marie Clegg and her husband, Brian, of West Milford, and Ashley Rouwendal of Vernon. Loving grandfather of Kayla Clegg. Cherished son of Henry G. Rouwendal Sr. of Hawthorne. Dear brother of Lorraine Rouwendal of Indian Rocks Beach, Fla., Arlene Rouwendal of Oakland and Charles Rouwendal of Pompton Lakes.

The family will receive their friends at Ferguson-Vernon Funeral Home, 241 Route 94 (1 Vanderhoof Court for GPS) Vernon, on Thursday, Feb. 14, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 15, at the funeral home.
