NEWTON -- Thomas Joseph Crocco, 82, died Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013, at Newton Medical Center. Born in Nutley, Mr. Crocco graduated from Nutley High School and moved to Sussex County in 1972. He worked at the Grand Union in Denville for 25 years, then for Daleâ€™s Market in Branchville and Blairstown. A United States Marine Corps veteran, Mr. Crocco was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel R.C. Church in Swartswood. The son of the late Joseph and Frances (DiGiacomo) Crocco, Mr. Crocco was also predeceased by his wife, Louise (Mansfield) Crocco. He is survived by two daughters, Leslie Giannini and her husband, George, and Frances Forgione; two sons, Joseph and Michael Crocco; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel R.C. Church in Swartswood. Interment will follow in Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery in Arneytown. Visitation will be held today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Wood Funeral Home, 16 Main St., Branchville. Memorial donations may be made to Our Lady of Mount Carmel R.C. Church, P.O.
