NEWTON - Barbara Ann Bell, 74, died Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013, at Bristol Glen Health Care Center, Newton. Born in Muskegon, Mich., Mrs. Bell grew up in Westfield. She was a resident of Sparta for 40 years before moving to Bristol Glen in 2001. Mrs. Bell was a graduate of William Paterson and Penn State Colleges earning her bachelor's degree. She was a former school teacher and a member of the American Association of University Women. The daughter of the late Charles T. Bills, Mrs. Bell also was predeceased by her husband, George H. Bell, in 1998. Mrs. Bell is survived by her mother, Sarah (Ames) Bills, of Newton; daughter, Jennifer Case and her husband, Robert, of Fredon; son, D. Robert Pierson, of Plymouth, Conn.; grandchildren, Hannah Case Benson and husband, Joshua, of North Wales, Pa., Samuel Case of Rock Hill, S.C., Charlotte Case of Fredon, and Luke, Levi and Salomae Pierson of Plymouth, Conn.; sister, Sally Peck and her husband, Harold, of Del Norte, Colo.; niece, Jessie Martin and husband, David, and their children, Bryn, Natalie, Aaron and Mary Beth, of Branchville. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 22, in the Chapel at Bristol Glen. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service.
