WANTAGE - Donald L. Colborn Jr., 63, died unexpectedly at Saint Clare's Hospital, Denville, on Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013. Born to Dorothy and Donald L. Colborn Sr. in Hackensack, he had lived in Bergenfield and Vernon for eight years before moving to Wantage 26 years ago. Mr. Colborn worked as a Systems Tech-OCS for Verizon in Madison for 30 years before retiring in 2002. He also had worked at the NBC Affiliate, WPTZ, in Plattsburgh, N.Y, and was a member of the I.B.E.W. Local 827 in Hightstown. He worked as a rescue diver at Lake Champlain and was member of the Amateur Radio Club. He enjoyed his ham radio, trains, tinkering with electronics and woodworking. Mr. Colborn was the beloved husband for 40 years of Annemarie Colborn (Kyritz), of Wantage. Devoted father of Jennifer Greenfield and her husband, Ron, of Morris Plains, and loving grandfather of Nina and Noelle.
