NEWTON - Seton M. Lally, 71, of Newton, died Sunday, June 30, 2013, in the Harris Health Care Center at Bristol Glen in Newton. Born in Newark, Miss Lally grew up in Orange and was a resident of Morristown for 30 years before moving to Newton. She received her Bachelor of Arts from Mt. St. Mary's in Cincinnati, Ohio, and her Master of Arts from Montclair State University in Montclair. Employed by the Morristown Board of Education from 1965 to 1996, Miss Lally was a physical education teacher, and for a period of time, was the acting athletic director as well. She was a member of the NJEA and the NEA. Miss Lally was predeceased by her parents, Thomas and Seton (Darcy) Lally. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Sunday, July 7, at Sophia Inclusive Catholic Community in the Community Center of Knoll Heights Village, 40 Trapasso Drive, Sparta. Arrangements are under the direction of Smith-McCracken Funeral Home, 63 High St., Newton.
