FRANKLIN - Warren W. Fahrenfeld, 97, passed away Sunday, July 28, 2013, at Newton Medical Center. Born in the Bronx, N.Y., he was the son of the late William and Matilda Fahrenfeld. Mr. Fahrenfeld had been a resident of Franklin since 2005 and prior to that had resided in Toms River and Clifton. He was a proud Army veteran, serving his country during World War II. He retired in 1978 as a store manager for the former Food Fair Supermarkets after 40 years of employment. He greatly enjoyed the time he would spend with his family and grandchildren. In his spare time he enjoyed gardening. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a brother, Wilbur Fahrenfeld. He is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Ruth (Ludwig) Fahrenfeld, of Franklin; sons, Warren Fahrenfeld and his wife, Elaine, of Little Falls, Kenneth Fahrenfeld and his wife, Jane, of Ogdensburg, and Robert Fahrenfeld, of Franklin; nine grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 1, at F. John Ramsey Funeral Home, 1 Main St., Franklin. Entombment to follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery Mausoleum.
