MONTAGUE - George Ward Kessler, 81, of Montague, passed away at home on July 30, 2013. The son of the late George L. and Ruth (Cadmus) Kessler, George was born Sept. 3, 1931, in Glen Ridge. He was married to Mildred (Rothardt) Kessler on Sept. 27, 1952, in Bloomfield. He was a retired Federal Bureau of Investigation agent, a member of the Holy Faith Lutheran Church in West Milford, and a U.S. Marine Corps Korean War veteran. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Peter Kessler, of Sparta, and John Kessler, of Wantage; three grandchildren, Sean, Kelly and Peter Nicholas; and six nieces and nephews. Friends may call at Stroyan Funeral Home, 405 West Harford St., Milford, Pa., from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 2. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 3, at Oak Ridge Presbyterian Church, Oak Ridge, with the Rev. Craig Lutz officiating. Burial will take place at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Oak Ridge. Memorial donations may be made to Holy Faith Lutheran Church, 104 Paradise Road, Oak Ridge, NJ 07438.
