PLAINS, Pa. - Sean M. McGoldrick, 35, of Plains, Pa., died unexpectedly Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2013, in Wharton. Born in Utica, N.Y., he had lived in Stanhope and Franklin before moving to Pennsylvania. A 1997 graduate of Lenape Valley Regional High School, Sean proudly served in the U.S. Air Force as a Senior Airman, stationed in Bagdad, Iraq, during the war. Mr. McGoldrick was a member of the Lani VFW Plains, Pa. A parishioner of the Good Shepherd Roman Catholic Church, Sean also was a talented musician playing several instruments such as the drums and the bass guitar. A machinist apprentice, he was working for Colinear Machine and Design in Sparta. Predeceased by his father, Joseph A. McGoldrick, Sean is survived by his wife, Kelly M. Manning, of Stanhope; his mother, Daisy (Schiemer) McGoldrick, of Utica, N.Y.; his sister, Jessica McGoldrick, of New York, N.Y.; as well as many friends. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 16, in the Good Shepherd Roman Catholic Church, Route 517, Andover. Private cremation services will follow. Visitation will be held today from 2 to 7 p.m. at Iliff Ruggiero Funeral Home, 156 Main St., Newton.
