JEFFERSON -- Betty Jo Robinson, 56, of Lake Hopatcong, passed away Monday, April 28, 2014, at University Hospital in Newark. Born in Morristown to the late George Jr. and Dorothy Mae, Betty Jo had been a lifelong resident of Lake Hopatcong. She was employed at Dunkin Donuts in Jefferson and was a caregiver for her parents for many years. Betty Jo loved to sing and was a member of Sparta United Methodist Church and New Jersey Conservatory Choir. She was also a member of the BPO Elks Lodge #2109 in Mount Arlington and previously volunteered on the Jefferson Township Rescue Squad. Survivors include a sister, Brenda Agamie-Fisch and husband, Mark; a brother, John Robinson and wife, Esther; nieces, Jordan Agamie and Jessica Herndon and her husband, Tucker; nephews, Justin Agamie and Tucker Robinson; a great-nephew, Morgan Herndon; and numerous Livingston and Robinson family relatives. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 3, at Cedar Lawn Cemetery in Paterson. A celebration of Betty Joâ€™s life will follow from 1 to 4 p.m. at the BPO Elks Lodge, 201 Howard Blvd., Mount Arlington, with a short service at 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Sparta United Methodist Church, 71 Sparta Ave., Sparta, NJ 07871.
