LOWER MACUNGIE, Pa. - John K. MacDonald, 56, formerly of Sparta, passed away Saturday, July 5, 2014, at his residence in Lower Macungie Twp., Pa.

Born in La Grange, Ill., he was a son of David R. MacDonald and Sally (Kilbey) MacDonald. John was the husband of Bonnie (Fliegel) MacDonald for more than 31 years. They have one son, John David. He was a member of the NRA and enjoyed shooting with his son. He loved playing all musical instruments, especially his guitar.

In addition to his wife, parents and son, he is survived by his brother, George; sister, Susan; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, July 13, at The Emmaus Moravian Church, 148 Main St., Emmaus, Pa.
