Charles "Bo", age 77 died on January 18, 2011. He was a resident of Erlanger, KY, formerly of Corbin, KY. He was born in Corbin, KY on April 14, 1933. He was the son of the late Herman Cecil Carter and the late Susie Parman Carter. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jean Cathers Carter; three brothers, Brent Douglas "Bud" Carter, Raymond Strange and Delbert Strange; two sisters, Mary Wanda Poynter and Wilma Strange Carter. He was a United States Air Force veteran. He was a member of the Corbin Church of the Nazarene. He was a retired final repairman, having worked for General Motors. Survivors include two daughters, Sandra Carter Ravencraft (Jim) of Erlanger, KY and Paula Carter Bowers (John) of Crestview, KY. He is also survived by three sisters, Etta Bingham of Bellvue, KY, Ann Ridener of Corbin, KY and Sue Gambrel of Latonia, KY. Survivors also include two grandchildren, Dr. Kristie Bailey (Gunnery Sgt. Brandon) and Brad Gross, as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, Jan. 22, 2011 at Corbin Funeral Home with Pastor Lonnie Storms officiating. Burial will take place at Pine Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Corbin Funeral Home on Saturday, Jan. 22, 2011.
