Michael Allen, 61, of Erlanger, KY, passed away quietly on April 30, 2012. He was born on August 23, 1950 in Cincinnati, OH. He married Irene Matzen on December 23, 1972. They had three sons, Jim Day, Chip Day and Mike Day. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy and an active union member of the V.A. Medical Center where he worked. He loved traveling, Civil War history, coaching football and spending time with his 3 children and 5 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers and 2 sisters. He will truly be missed by all the people whose lives he touched. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 4 from 11 AM - 1 PM with services following at 1 PM at Stith Funeral Homes 7500 U.S. Highway 42 Florence, KY 41042. Mike, thanks for completing the mission that Sunday. As always, you were there for the veterans & got them home safely.
I'll never forget asking you to put on Creedence Clearwater Revival for the ride home that day and before I could finish that sentence, "Suzie Q" came on. What a great laugh that was. Great minds think alike, eh?
You be sure to keep the wheels rollin' and the music flowin' up there.
