Leslie SETTERS Obituary

SETTERS

Leslie Eugene Setters, age 72, of Independence, died Sunday, April 17, 2011 at his residence. He was a retired Bus Driver for Kenton County Schools, a member of Staffordsburg United Methodist Church, a U.S. Marine Veteran and a life member of the V.F.W. Mr. Setters also enjoyed watching wrestling and football, and most of all spending time with his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Phyllis Ann Janson Setters; his children, Edward Setters of Scranton, PA, Alicia Setters of Florence, Tracy Janson of Williamstown, Gina Martin of Independence, Michelle Setters of Independence, Kelly Price of Clarksville, TN, and Brenda Hicks of Crittenden; 20 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 20, 2011 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home in Independence. Funeral services will be Thursday at 3:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment with military honors will be at Independence Cemetery. Memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society, 297 Buttermilk Pk., Ft. Mitchell, Kentucky 41017. Les was so wonderful to both my kids (Alex and Kaci) on the bus! All of your "kids" will miss you! This has hit them hard...Please know how much he was loved and respected! Our prayers with you and your family...

Mr. Les was an honorable Man, he loved his Family and the children that he interacted with on a daily basis! We will miss you Mr. Les, thanks for being great to the kids and always sharing your smile! We know you are smiling down upon everyone and watching over us!
