Charles C. Brewer(1933 - 2013)


Charles C. Brewer, 80, of Wilder, passed away on October 11, 2013 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center - Edgewood. He retired from Hillshire Farms - Cincinnati, OH and he worked as a part-time cashier at the Blue Pantry - Taylor Mill. He was a lifetime member of the Bellevue Vets where he coached youth baseball for 20+ years; he also assisted with the Scott High School Softball team; He was a member of the Edward W. Boers American Legion Post #153 and an avid UK Basketball Fan. He proudly served in the US Navy during the Korean conflict. He thoroughly enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. Charles was born July 20, 1933 in Covington, KY to the late Charles Clay Brewer and Mary Farwick Brewer. He was preceded in death by his Brother, Don Brewer. He is survived by his Wife of 58 years, Elizabeth Mary Brewer; Daughter, Sherri (Don) Schmitz; Son, Terry (Midge) Brewer; Daughter, Pam Brewer; Daughter, Lisa Brewer; Sister, Helen Buchholz; Grandchildren, Kristy (Kenneth) Bruce, Derek Schmitz, Renée (Errol) Piner, Terry Brewer, Tommy Hansman, Ben Brewer and Adam Schmitz; Great-Grandchildren, Paige Hansman, Noah, Aiden, Asa and Nathan Bruce. Also survived by his In-Laws, Margie and Don Plummer and Pat Spradlin and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by a close family friend M. J. Ranz. Memorial Mass 10am Saturday, October 26, 2013 at St. Therese Church, Sourthgate, KY. Reception immediately following mass in the church undercroft. Mr. Brewer donated his body to the U. C.
