Charles Gallagher


Charles Bernard Gallagher, 86, of Villa Hills, KY, formerly of Pendleton County, passed away on Saturday, May 3, 2014, at Madonna Manor in Villa Hills. Born in DeMossville, KY, on December 19, 1927, he was the son of the late William and Mary Cecelia Cahill Gallagher. A former foreman with Square D Company in Florence for 26 years, he was a farmer, a U.S. Army veteran, a member of the Hardin- Browning Post #109, and a member of St. Francis Xavier Church in Falmouth. On October 27, 1951, he married Frances Lorraine Delaney Gallagher, and his dear wife survives his passing. In addition to his wife of 62 years, Lorraine, he is survived by 5 children: Margaret Ann (Bob) Berres of Cincinnati, OH, Mary Jo (Bill) Jacob of Louisville, KY, Jane Elizabeth (Ed) Dressman of Edgewood, KY, Terry Charles Gallagher of DeMossville, KY, and Amy Frances Richardson of Clarksville, TN; 11 grandchildren: 11 great grandchildren: 2 step great grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12 noon Tuesday, May 6, 2014, at the St. Francis Xavier Church, Falmouth. The visitation will be from 10:00 am to 11:45 am Tuesday at the Woodhead Funeral Home, Falmouth. Interment will take place in the St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Falmouth, with full military honors by the Hardin-Browning Post #109.
