Charles Gilliam, Sr., 98, of Bellevue, passed away on Thursday, January 24th at his residence. He was a retired Coal Miner, as well as a carpenter, and was preceded in death by his wife, Lee Oda; sons, Ronnie & G.A. Gilliam; sisters, Edna Mills and Delores Napier and brother, James Gilliam. Charles is survived by his sons, Gillis Gilliam of Berea, KY, Charles Gilliam Jr. of Augusta, KY and Chip Gilliam of Knoxville, KY and daughters, Marina Marcum of Manchester, KY, Bon Helen Harrison of Brodhead, KY, Debbie Gilliam of Cincinnati, OH and Annette Dalton of Bellevue, KY. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren and 45 great great grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m., Monday, January 28th, at Dobbling, Muehlenkamp-Erschell Funeral Home, Bellevue. The Funeral Ceremony will be held at 9:30 a.m., Tuesday, January 29th, at Dobbling, Muehlenkamp-Erschell Funeral Home, Bellevue with the burial to follow at the Gilliam Family Cemetery, Manchester, KY.
