Elmer Mahan(1932 - 2013)



MAHAN

Elmer Mahan of Florence, Kentucky and formerly of the Harps Creek Community, Siler, Kentucky departed this life on Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at the home of his daughter. He was 81 years, 7 months and 13 days of age. He was born on February 19, 1932 in Whitley County, Kentucky to the late, John Smith Mahan and Nellie Bennett Mahan. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Hazel W. Mahan; one brother, Chester Mahan; and two sisters, Arzella and Mary Ann. He was a member of Anthras Baptist Church. He is survived by his daughter, Treva Gail Hacker and her husband Johnny of Florence, Kentucky; one son, Carlis Mahan and his wife Rose of Covington, Kentucky; five grandchildren, Brook Nicole Mahan, Valerie Templin, Logan Hacker, Luke Hacker and Lauren Hacker; three great grandchildren, Aiden, Evan and Eli; two sisters, Jincy McKeehan and her husband Jr. of Bryants Store, Kentucky and Shirley Partin and her husband the Rev. Johnny of Harps Creek, Siler, Kentucky; two brothers, Vester Mahan and his wife Anis of Burlington, Kentucky and Edward Mahan and his wife Betty Sue of Corbin, Kentucky; many nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing. Funeral Service will be 11:00 AM on Saturday (TODAY), October 5, 2013 at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Johnny Partin officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Goins Cemetery on Harps Creek in Siler, Kentucky. His nephews will serve as pallbearers. Condolences may be made to the family at www.croleyfuneralhome.com.
