Lewis Franklin HORNSBY

Lewis Franklin Hornsby, 87, of Newport, passed away on December 15, 2012 at St. Elizabeth Hospice Center - Ft. Thomas, KY. Lewis was a machinist for Hasco Tag Co., Dayton, KY. He received his associate degree from Lees Jr. College, Jackson, KY. Member of the First Baptist Church of Cold Spring. Masonic member of Clay County Lodge. Life long fan of the UK Wildcats. WWII Navy veteran serving in the Pacific and also during the Korean Conflict. Lewis was born October 5, 1925 in Laurel Creek, KY to L Hornsby and Daisy Robinson Hornsby. He was preceded in death by his Wife, Geneva "Jenny" Hornsby. Lewis is survived by his Son, Frank (Nancy) Hornsby of The Villages, FL, Daughters, Rita Hornsby of Hebron, KY, Lori (David) Orne of Fort Thomas, KY, and Angi (Chris) Hornsby of Alexandria, KY., 7 Grandchildren, Larry, Matt, Chris, BJ, Kerstin, Sam, and Jeff. and 7 Great Grandchildren. Visitation 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm, Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at Dobbling Funeral Home, Fort Thomas. Service will be held 10:30 am, Wednesday, December 19, 2012, at the Dobbling Funeral Home, Fort Thomas, Kentucky, with Rev. Glenn Chasteen Jr., officiating. Burial will take place in the Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Taylor Mill, Kentucky.
