Paul F. Wiggins Sr.(1933 - 2013)


Paul F. Wiggins, Sr., 80, of Newport, passed away on October 7, 2013 at St. Elizabeth Hospice Center, Fort Thomas, KY. Mr. Wiggins is a retired U.S. Postal Worker as well as a Disabled American Veterans retiree. He is a U. S. Army Veteran, having served in the Korean Conflict and was awarded two Purple Hearts. He was the former Vice Commander of the D.A.V. Paul was born April 22, 1933 in Goshen, OH to the late Robert Wiggins and Elva (nee: Hopper) Wiggins. He was preceded in death by his Daughter, Nancy Ammons. Paul is survived by his Wife, Phyllis (nee: Miller) Wiggins of Newport, KY, Sons, Robert Wiggins of Lexington, KY, Paul Wiggins of Fort Thomas, KY & Scott Wiggins of Fort Thomas, KY, Daughters, Paula Bartlett of Louisville, KY & Mary Welsh of Corbin, KY, eleven grandchildren & nine great grandchildren. Visitation will be 4pm-8pm, Thursday, October 10, 2013 at the Muehlenkamp-Erschell Funeral Home, 427 South Ft. Thomas Ave., Ft. Thomas, KY 41075. Funeral Services will be 10am, Friday, October 11 at the funeral home. Burial will take place in the Evergreen Cemetery Southgate, Kentucky.
