Sandra F., age 70, of Independence, KY passed away on Saturday, January 19, 2013. Born and raised in Covington KY, Sandy was a 1960 graduate of Holmes High School. For many years, she worked as a real estate broker and owner of Prestige Properties. Sandy was an avid equestrian; she bred and raced thoroughbred horses and was active in cross country and hunter jumper competitions. Her passion for horses was matched by her love for cats. Animals who needed help often found their way to her, and she tended to them by feeding, spaying and neutering feral colonies. She was never without the companionship of a beloved rescue in her home. Most of all, Sandy was a fun-loving, kind and caring person, who loved and served others selflessly. She put her family first and kept each one close, and was most proud of her new role as grandmother. She built lifelong friendships that were extensions of her family. She is best characterized by her quiet generosity that touched family, fr iends, and even those who did not know her. She is survived by her friend and former husband: Larry L. Lovelace of Hamilton, OH; son: Jeffrey N. (Amy) Lovelace of Cincinnati, OH; sister: Betty Waters of Taylor Mill, KY; brother: Larry Norton of Marshall, VA and grandchildren: Caroline E and Catherine E. Lovelace. A memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, January 26, 2013 in the sanctuary at Hyde Park Community United Methodist Church. After the service a reception will be held in the church's Welcome Center to share memories and celebrate Sandy's life. Memorial Contributions are suggested to OAR -- Ohio Alleycat Resource & Spay/Neuter Clinic 5619 Orlando Place Cincinnati, OH 45227. Connley Brothers Funeral Home in Latonia, KY is serving the family.
