Shirley Jean Groeschen(1939 - 2013)


Shirley Jean (nee Fischer) Groeschen, 74 of Cold Spring, passed away on November 7, 2013 at St. Elizabeth Hospice Center, Edgewood, KY. She was a Homemaker. Graduate of Mother of Mercy High School,Cincinnati. Long time member of St. John the Baptist Church,Wilder. Avid Reds fan. Enjoyed spending time out at lunches with friends. Shirley was born September 9, 1939 in Cincinnati, OH to Walter Fischer and Lorraine Werne Fischer. Preceded in death by her Husband, Joseph C. Groeschen. Shirley is survived by her Sons, Steven (Kathleen) Groeschen of Mason, OH, Mark (Michelle) Groeschen of Taylor Mill, KY, Eric (Angela) Groeschen of Burlington, KY, David (Kathleen) Groeschen of Fort Thomas, KY, Sisters, Carol Fischer of Cincinnati, OH,and Elaine Samuels of Cincinnati, OH, 17 Grandchildren, Benjamin (Mary), Joseph, Christopher, Matthew, Sarah, Zachary, Taylor, Maria, Stephanie, Michael, Hannah, Nathan, Rachel, Megan, Bethany, Lauren, and Adam. Visitation Monday, November 11,2013 at Muehlenkamp-Erschell Funeral Home, 427 S.Fort Thomas Ave., Fort Thomas from 4:00 pm-7:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday,November 12, 2013 at 10:00 am at St.Joseph Church, Cold Spring. Burial will take place in the St. Stephen Cemetery, Fort Thomas.
