Wayne L. Elliott, " Boozie", 80, of Falmouth, passed peacefully in his home on Sunday, December 2, 2012. He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Betty R. Elliott, in March, 2003. Born on March 29, 1932, he was the son of the late Ernest Elliott and the late Jesse Cookendorfer Elliott Richie. He retired from the Sysco Company in Cincinnati, OH, was a member of the Hardin- Browning Post #109, and a U.S. Navy veteran
of the Korean War
, where he traveled around the world on the USS Owen. He is survived by two sons, Anthony Tony Elliott of Bellevue, KY and Mike (Patty) of Foster, KY; and one daughter, Angela (Glen) Jones of Rockfield, KY; 7 grandchildren: Josh, Dustin, Heather, Missy, Felicia, Brittney and Cody; 9 great-grand-children; and a host of extended family and friends. He was a quiet man with a large heart who always thought about others before himself. As quietly as he lived, he passed, but left behind many who loved and cared for him.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 7, 2012, at the Woodhead Funeral Home, Falmouth. Serving as pallbearers will be Brandon Wyrick, Cody Cole, Dustin Elliott, Joshua Elliott, Mike Elliott, and Glen Jones. The visitation will be from 5-8:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Interment with full military honors by the Hardin- Browning Post #109 will take place in Riverside Cemetery, Falmouth.
