Caroline "Carrie" L., 96, of Independence. Beloved mother of Joan (Tom) Ellis and Wilson Wm. "Buck" Hall, grandmother of Deborah (Charlie) Scott and great grandmother of Charlie Scott IV, passed onto the Lord July 12, 2013, rejoining her late husband, Wilson "Pee Wee" Hall. Caroline was a member of Burlington Baptist Church, worked at Inter Ocean Insurance and Roberts Oil Company. A Kentucky Colonel, served as treasurer for the Kenton County Homemakers, member of the Beechgrove Homemakers Club, belonged to Oakridge Seniors and St. Barbara Seniors. Memorial gifts can be made to the Special Olympics or St. Elizabeth Hospice. The only child of Cliff and Mary Fehr, Carrie was born in Sedamsville, OH, September 3, 1916. Carrie was married to Wilson for 45 years, together they raised 2 children, Joan and Buck. She contracted Polio during her pregnancy with Buck and had to learn how to walk again after his delivery. She conquered that and later in life she beat cancer. She was a survivor! Somehow Carrie always found time to do thoughtful things for everyone, like taking sick friends to the doctor or picking them up for church, despite her active participation in church, traveling and taking care of her own family. As many of you know Buck needed special attention growing up and Carrie gave it her all, finding schools and organizations that would provide services. But with all that, she still found time to enjoy many trips with her friends. As one friend stated, "Carrie only had two hands, but she could have used four, for they were the most willing hands I know." She just never said "No". Visitation will be held Monday, July 15 from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM with services following at 12:00 PM all at Stith Funeral Homes, Florence. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Erlanger.
