Donald, age 90, Falmouth. passed away August 23, 2013 at Harrison Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. He was born July 22, 1923 to the late Silas and Viola Teegarden England. He had just celebrated his 90th birthday. Donald had two sisters, Carlene Carr, who survives, and Naomi Simpson Turner who preceded him in death. He married Joyce Ruth Draper and she passed on August 12, 2001. They had two sons, Jerry (Cheryl) England of Lexington, KY and Terry England of Falmouth, KY both who survive his passing. He was blessed with two Grand-daughters, Julie Donn (Chris) Edling and Jill Dionne (Chad) Burton and two wonderful great grandchildren, Bennett Gerald Edling and Carson Elizabeth Burton. Survivors also include three nieces and three nephews and several great nieces and nephews. He was so fortunate to have a long list of family and friends especially his extended family: Marion and Brenda Bush Brooks, Glen and Sandy Craddock, and Ron and Carla Stinson and family and his special buddy, Murphy, who made his last years so enjoyable. Donald retired from Wilson Freight after 30 years and then worked in the antique refinishing business with his son. He was an accomplished craftsman and his family is fortunate to possess many of his creations. He also served as a City Councilman for the City of Falmouth for 12 1/2 yrs. He was a member of the Oakland Christian Church, a KY Colonel, and a Veteran of WWII. A Visitation will be held at the Peoples Funeral Home in Falmouth, KY on Monday from 4PM until 8PM with the funeral on Tuesday at 1:00PM at the funeral home with full military honors from the Hardin-Browning Post 109.
