Edward, age 88, of Independence, passed away Wednesday May 2, 2012 at Florence Park Care Center. He was a retired lathe operator for R.A. Jones, an Army Veteran of WWII, a member of First Baptist Church of Independence and was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He is preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie Holtcamp and son Roy Edward Holtcamp. Edward is survived by his daughter Kathy Vest-Reed of Independence and 5 grandchildren. Services will be held at Chambers & Grubbs Independence. Visitation will be from 5-8 pm. Monday, May 7, 2012. The funeral service will be Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at 11 am.
