Elizabeth Ann "Libby" Hiles, 75, of Richmond, passed away Monday, March 31, 2014 at the Hospice Compassionate Care Center of Richmond. She was the widow of Bernard Hiles, Jr. Libby was born August 22, 1938, at Morning View, Kentucky, to Edwin Ambrose Russell and Gladys LaFary Russell, both of whom preceded her in death. She was a retired switchboard operator for Turfway Park in Florence, Kentucky. Survivors include: one daughter, Kimberly H. (Mike) Rhodus; four grandchildren, Erica Rhodus, Megan Rhodus, Daniel (Ashley) Rhodus, and Justin (Casie) Rhodus; four great grandchildren, Brendan, Eric, Ashton, and Trey Rhodus; and one brother, Fred Russell; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Libby was preceded in death by: two brothers, Donald E. and Raymond Russell; one sister, Wanda Huff; and two sisters-in-law, Rudy and Nellie Russell. Visitation for Libby Hiles was held on Thursday, April 3, 2014 at Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home in Richmond. A prayer service followed the visitation at 8:00 p.m. with Bro. Scott Guiley officiating. Funeral services will be Saturday, April 5, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Walton Christian Church in Walton, Kentucky with Bro. Kevin Russell officiating. Burial following in the Independence Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service at the church.
