Geraldine Senour Dudderar Obituary


Geraldine Senour Dudderar, 90, passed away peacefully on February 11, 2014 at River Landing. She was born November 20, 1923, in Union, Kentucky, the only child of Dr. Otis E. Senour and Gladys Rouse Senour. Gerry was a long term resident of northern Ky., having lived in Erlanger and Ft. Thomas. She graduated from Lloyd High School and attended the University of Louisville. In 1946 she married Dr. Donald K. Dudderar. She worked in a physician office and was a home maker. In 1971 the Dudderar family moved to Orangeburg, SC. where she lived for 32 years before moving to NC. While in Orangeburg she was a member of the Volunteer Auxiliary hospital for 15 years, active in several tutoring programs, a member of First Baptist Church in Orangeburg, Agape Sunday School Class, and the Dogwood Garden Club. After her move to High Point, she was a member of Christ United Methodist Church. She is survived by daughter Donna Jo Crooks, spouse David, of Naples, Florida, and daughter Kathy Lynn Pope, spouse Richard, of Jamestown, NC. nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son Douglas Senour Dudderar of Charleston, SC. Gerry was a loving mother and Grandmother, known by all as "Mama G." A private service at Sechrest Funeral Home was held on Saturday, Feb. 15th. There will be a Circle of Remembrance service at River Landing in the Pebble Beach multipurpose room on Tuesday, Feb. 18th, at 1:30. Burial and a graveside service will be held in the spring in Florence, Kentucky.
