Nelson Senior Master Sgt. Jeremy K., 35, of Alexandria, passed away on April 25, 2012 at Wright Patterson Air Force Base Medical Center, Dayton, OH. Graduate of Campbell County High School. Community Applications Technology at Community College of the Air Force; Airman Leadership School,Langley AFB,Va.; NCO Academy, Hickam AFB, HI; Bachelor of Science in Occupational Education, Wayland Baptist University; USAF SNCO Academy, Gunter Annex, AL. He was the Superintendent for the 6th. Intelligence Squadron, Osan Air Base, Republic of Korea. He was a career Imagery Analyst. His leadership ensures Airmen are properly organized, trained, and equipped to execute the Squadron's mission. Major Awards and Decorations: Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Joint Service Commendation Medal with two oak leaf clusters, Air Force Commendation Medal, Air Force Achievement medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal and Iraq Campaign Medal. Operations that Jeremy supported: Military Operations, Irish Warrior, Enduring Freedom, Southern Watch, Phantom Fury, and Iraqi Freedom. He was an avid UK and Bengals fan. Jeremy was preceded in death by his late father, Kenneth Gillespie. Jeremy is survived by his Wife of 17 years, Michele (nee Clark) Nelson of Alexandria, KY, Son, Kyler Jeremy Nelson of Alexandria, KY, Daughters, Katelyn Nelson and Abigail Nelson both of Alexandria, KY, Father, John B. Eten and Mother, LeeAnn (nee Nelson) Eten of Alexandria, KY, Brother, John B. Eten, Jr., Sister, Kendra Gillespie, Sister, Emily Gillespie, Father-in-law, Herb Clark and Mother-in-law, Edna Clark of Butler, KY, Grandmother, Norlene West of Cincinnati, OH, Grandfather, Clarence Nelson of Mt. Orab, OH. Visitation 8:30 am to 10:00 am, Saturday, May 5, 2012 at Muehlenkamp-Erschell Funeral Home,427 S.Fort Thomas Ave., Fort Thomas. Funeral Ceremony will be held 10:00 am Saturday, May 5, 2012, at the Muehlenkamp-Erschell Funeral Home, Fort Thomas, Kentucky.
