Kirby
Robert Rankins Kirby, age 86 of Florence passed away Wednesday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Florence. He was a retired Retail Buyer for Central Jobing, a Marine Corps Veteran of WWII and a member of the Florence Masonic Lodge #949 F. & A.M. He enjoyed golf, baseball(played in minor league for Harlem County)basketball, softball and taking walks. He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Mary Kirby, sisters, Juanita Davis and Elizabeth Kendrick and brothers, Ray and Billy Kirby. Robert is survived by his wife, Elsie Kirby, daughters, Dorcas Kirby of Florence, Lana Spicer of Lexington, Vicki Pridgen of Tuscon, Az. and Vanessa(Eddie)Wilson of Warsaw, son, Robert L.(Lari)Kirby of Florence, 7 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Services will be held Monday April 16,2012 at Chambers & Grubbs Florence. Visitation will be 10:30 am. - 12:30 pm. The funeral ceremony will be 12:30 pm. Burial will be in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North, Williamstown with military honors. Memorial donations may be made to
