Thelma Wilson, 88 of Ft. Mitchell, passed away on Monday, June 4, 2012 at Rosedale Manor. Thelma taught in the Covington Public Schools and taught Chemistry at Holmes High School from 1975 to 1985. She was a member of St. Agnes Church for 55 years and served in various committees of the church. She was also a member of the Kentucky Retired Teachers Society, was named Mrs. Valentine Holmes High School and was named a Holmes High School Teacher of the Year. Thelma was very proud that all 6 of her grandchildren hold Degrees from various colleges and Universities. Preceded in death by her husband Charles Hanneken of 46 years in 1996. Survivors include daughters, Pat (John) Carter of Dayton, OH, Judy (Dave) Rechtin of Ft. Wright, and Sue (John) Bowling of Ft. Thomas; grandchildren, Steve Burns, Stephanie Rechtin, Ray Rechtin, James Carter, Paul Carter, Tina Carter; great-grandchildren, Abigail Rechtin and Ray Rechtin II. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 6:00 PM on Thursday, June 14, 2012 at St. Agnes Church, 1680 Dixie Highway, Ft. Wright, KY. The family will receive friends following the Mass in Murphy Hall in the Church undercroft. Her body was donated to the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. In lieu of flowers, Memorials are suggested to St. Agnes Church, 1680 Dixie Highway, Ft. Wright, KY 41011 or Rosedale Manor, 4250 Glenn Avenue, Covington, KY 41015. Ronald B.
