William Lewis Klaber, 77, of Falmouth, KY, passed away on Thursday, February 7, 2013, at his home. Born at home in Pendleton County, KY, on November 9, 1935, he was a son of the late Charles J. and Ruth Cushman Klaber. A 1954 graduate of Bracken County High School, he attended the University of Kentucky. On May 12, 1956, he married Mary Ellen Rule Klaber, and his dear wife survives his passing. In the 1960's, he was the Herdsman for Ashbourne Farms in LaGrange, KY and the Herdsman for Reed Crushed Stone Farms in Grand River, KY. Most recently, he owned and operated Wilmar Farm with registered shorthorn cattle in Pendleton County. As everyone knows, "Bill" was truly happiest being on the farm. When Bill returned to Pendleton County, he was very active in community and youth activities. He was a member of the Falmouth United Methodist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Ruth Klaber Turner. In addition to his wife of 56 years, Mary Ellen Klaber, he is survived by four children: William Lewis, Jr. (Cindy) of Falmouth, James Rule (Carolyn) of Falmouth, Ellen Jane of Dry Ridge, Jonathan Nicholas (Rebecca) of Florence; 6 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; 1 brother, Charles A. (Carol) of Falmouth; and a host of extended family and friends. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 11, 2013, at the Falmouth United Methodist Church, with Rev. Brian Wilson officiating. The visitations will be from 4-8:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 10, 2013, at the Woodhead Funeral Home, Falmouth, and from 12-2:00 p.m. on Monday preceding the service at his church.
