Arlene Gail Vance Ferguson, 65, of Morning View, passed away Wednesday, May 7th, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Healthcare in Edgewood. She was a former Proprietor of Bill's Mobil and Arlene's Restaurant in Independence and a member of New Hope Tabernacle Church in Walton, KY. Arlene enjoyed going to yard sales, antiques, attending church, and spending time with her family. Her brother, Johnny Ray Vance preceded her in death. Survivors include her husband, Bill A. Ferguson; daughters, Dianna (Jude) Kloeker and B.J. (Greg) Guttridge; son, Jon (Kelly) Ferguson; sisters, Mary Smith, Gelema (Ron) Bucklen, June (Kenny) Ferguson, and Pat (Darrell) Hager; brother, Thurston (Sue) Vance; seven grabdchildren, Amberly, Megan, Nicole, Tyler, Sara, Olivia, and Marlaina; and a many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Saturday, May 10, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home in Independence. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, at the funeral home. Interment will be at Independence Cemetery. Memorials may be made to New Hope Tabernacle Church, 1404 Walton-Nicholson Pk., Walton, KY 41094.
