William A. Glass Obituary


William W. Glass, 71, a Williamstown, KY resident, died unexpectedly Monday, May 26, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Edgewood, KY. He was a son of the late C. Howard and Helen Webb Glass and was also preceded in death by his brother, Charles Craig Glass. He was a graduate of Williamstown High School and attended the University of Kentucky and Xavier University and served in the U. S. Army during the Viet Nam Conflict. Bill retired as Vice President of Forcht Bank, Williamstown with a 42 year career in banking which began with 5/3 Bank in Cincinnati followed by The Bank of Williamstown, Eagle Bank, then Forcht Bank, all in Williamstown. Bill was an active member of the Williamstown Baptist Church where he served as a deacon, treasurer, Finance Committee Chairman, choir member and former Sunday School Director and Chairman of the Transportation Committee. He was also a member and Past President of the Williamstown Kiwanis, a member and Past President of the Grant Co. Camp of the Gideons International, a former member of the Williamstown Board of Education and former member of the Reading, Ohio Chamber of Commerce. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Bonny Souder Glass, four daughters, Ann Marie Perkins and Melissa Carmichael, both of Williamstown, Sheila (Jamey) Lewis and Catherine (Donny) Hoehn, both of Dry Ridge, one sister, Marsha Bowen, Williamstown and eight grandchildren, William Cory Perkins, Jordan Kline Perkins, Kyndra Ainsley Carmichael, Logan Xander Carmichael, Kyle Wayne Lewis, Khalid Jamey Lewis, Audrey Nicole Hoehn and Donald Cedric Hoehn. Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday, May 31 at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, 500 North Main Street, Williamstown, KY. 41097, with visitation from 5-8 P.M. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Hill Crest Cemetery, Dry Ridge. Memorials suggested to Gideons International, P.O. Box 222, Williamstown, KY 41097 or Williamstown Baptist Church, 214 N.
