FRIEDHOFF

Edward J. Friedhoff, Jr., 73, of Taylor Mill, formerly of Newport, died Sunday, July 6, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood. He was a retired electrician with I.B.C. Corporation. He was a Communication Sergeant in the Army from 1958 to 1962. He was a member of the VFW, Eagles, and American Legion. He was a Free Mason. He enjoyed fishing, electronics, woodworking and gardening. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Vella Hornsby Friedhoff, second wife, Judith Abrams, son, Mark Friedhoff, brother, Gary Friedhoff and sister, Marti Hall. He is survived by his daughters, Charity Friedhoff Boswell & January (Edward) Umbach; sons, Edward III (Thelma), Michael (Lisa), Timothy & Jason (Amy) Friedhoff; brothers, Joe, Charlie & Larry Friedhoff; 16 grandchildren and companion/caregiver, Mary Lou Martin. Visitation 5 to 8 pm on Wednesday, July 9 at Dobbling, Muehlenkamp-Erschell Funeral Home, 835 York St., Newport. Services 10:00 am on Thursday at the funeral Home. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Southgate. Memorials are suggested to St. Elizabeth Hospice, 483 S. Loop Rd., Edgewood, KY 41017 or the , 297 Buttermilk Pike, Ft. Mitchell, KY 41017.
