Mark Edward Shepard, passed away suddenly at his home on Saturday, July 19, 2014. He graduated from Pickerington HS, and earned college degrees in Business Management and Operations Management, and was an Assistant Vice President at Citi Bank, Premium Client Services, in Florence Kentucky. In 1982 he married the love of his life, Brenda Hottle, and was blessed with two children, Kristyn and Matthew. Mark had a zest for life, a keen sense of humor and enjoyed every minute of life with his precious family and many friends. He was an Eagle Scout, member of Woodbine United Methodist Church, coached baseball for his son, served in numerous community projects including; coordinator for March of Dimes, and "Paint Your Heart Out" Pensacola. Mark is survived by his wife, Brenda; daughter Kristyn & Chad Currey; and son, Matthew; grandchildren, Caleb and Emmalyn Currey; parents, James B. and Doloris J. Shepard; brothers, David and Laurie Shepard; Paul Shepard; sister Mary Ellen and Ahmet Kahraman; mother-in-law, Linda Hottle; brothers-in-law, Jeffrey and Jennifer Hottle; Andrew Hottle; nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by father-in-law, William Hottle and grandparents. Friends and family may visit the DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME, 550 Hill Rd. North, Pickerington, OH 43147, on Thursday, July 24 from 4-8:00pm and Friday, July 25, from 10-11:00am at the Peace United Methodist church, 235 Diley Rd NW, Pickerington, OH 43147. A funeral service officiated by Pastor Barbara Parrot will begin at the church on Friday, July 25, at 11:00am. Burial will follow at Violet Cemetery.
