Edward Leo Foltz passed on to meet Heavenly Father on July 25, 2014. Born at home in 1940 on his grandparents' farm where Covington Catholic High School sits today, Eddie had a simple but fulfilling life. In his late teens he did custom bush hogging. He later acquired an Enquirer route and did that along with farming. He bid and acquired his first postal route in the late 60's and continued to contract and haul mail for the USPS for 47 years until he retired due to ill health. He served as president of the KY Branch of the National Star Route Mail Contractors for 25 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Loretta (Tubesing) Foltz; brother, Don Foltz and son, Gary Foltz. He is survived by his wife, Shelly Nehring Foltz; sons, Jonathan Foltz (Maria), USAF, England and Rodney Foltz of Florence, KY; sisters, Virginia Hall of Walton, KY and Janet Blackburn of Florence, KY; grandchildren, Chelsea Foltz-Lorenzen of Florida and Christopher Foltz of England. A visitation will be held on Monday July 28, 2014 from 5-8 PM at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home in Florence, KY with a Mass of Christian Burial the following day, Tuesday, July 29, 2014, at All Saints Catholic Church in Walton, KY at 10 AM. Interment will immediately follow at Independence Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials in his name are suggested to Hospice of the Bluegrass, 7388 Turfway Rd., Florence, KY 41042.
