Mildred "Millie" Lyle Obituary


Mildred (Miss Millie) R. Lyle, 97, of Newport, KY and formerly of Highland Heights, KY, passed away on August 21, 2014 at Baptist Convalescent Center in Newport, KY. She retire after 17 years of service as a manager for the Internal Revenue Service in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Cold Spring, KY, a Forget-Me-Knot member of the Licking Valley Quilting Guild and a 59-year member of the Florence Star Chapter #559, Order of the Eastern Star. She greatly enjoyed embroidery and other types of needlework and quilting. She was sponteneous, fun-loving and to say that she loved life is an understatement; she lived it to the fullest and through her kindness and good heartdness, touched the lives of all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her husband Nevlyn Lyle, her parents Arthur & Lettie Roberston and her brother Theodore Robertson, Sr. Mrs. Lyle is survived by her daughter Margaret (Susie) Clark of Newport, KY and son Norman (Carol) Lyle, Sr., of Nancy, KY, a grandson Norman (Ruth) Lyle, Jr.and great grandchildren Tori and Josh Lyle. Visitation will be Monday, August 25, 2014, from 9 to 11 AM. at the Dobbling Fort Thomas Funeral Home. There will be an Eastern Star Service Monday at 11 am followed by a Funeral Ceremony at the Funeral Home. Burial will take place in the Evergreen Cemetery, Southgate, Kentucky.
