Charles E. Dixon, 86, of Covington, passed away Monday, November 19, 2012 at Rosedale Green, in Latonia. He was a retired Conductor for the CSX Railroad, a Navy veteran of WWII, a member of Golden Rule Lodge # 345 F&AM, the Indra Consistory of the Scottish Rite in Covington, Oleika Shrine in Lexington, and Rosedale Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his sisters Bernice Gentry, Johnnie Perry, and Joyce Tavernier. Survivors include his sister Jean (Paul) Bass of Winter Park, Florida, his companion Frances Fuller of Florence, and his extended family John Fuller, Barb Fuller, Caroline (Tim Halsey) Fuller, and Teresa (Mike) Welch; and 4 extended grandchildren and 3 extended great grandchildren. Visitation 10:30 AM-11:30AM and funeral 11:30 AM Saturday, November 24, all at SWINDLER AND CURRIN FUNERAL HOME, 214 W. Southern Ave, Latonia and graveside services 4 PM Saturday at PINE HILL CEMETERY, Corbin, KY. Memorials to Shriners for Crippled Children, 3229 Burnett Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45229.
