BARTZ
Bruce A. Bartz , 65, of Mentor, KY, passed away Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at Saint Elizabeth Fort Thomas. He was a retired print tech for Xerox. He was a Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War. Bruce coached many teams throughout the years in basketball, softball & Knothole baseball. Bruce is survived by his loving wife, Sue Gosney Bartz; daughter, Karen (Bill) Herald; son, Michael (Sarah) Bartz; 4 grandchildren, Amanda and Noah Herald, Sophia and Trent Bartz; 2 brothers, William Bartz Jr. and Brian Bartz; sister, Beverly Smith. Visitation 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM Friday, May 31, 2013 with Funeral Services following at the Alexandria Funeral Home. Interment in Grand View Cemetery, Mentor, KY. He was one of my best friends when we served aboard the USS LaSalle ( LPD -3 ) in 69 and 70.and aboard the USS Duval County LST 758... in 69. Learning that he s passed is saddening to me as i lost a friend and navy buddy , i hope this is going to reach his wife sue , as i only knew of her through Bruce when they were expecting their first child. i tried to contact bruce over the years with no success . if he is my navy buddy ... and the man above i hope to hear back to this message if im mistaken ... my condolensces for your loss to Sue and his entire family .

My condolences to Bruce's family. Bruce always liked sports. I remember playing softball with him over the years at AAA. I also remember playing the NCAA tournament polls with him. I offer my thoughts and prayers. He will be missed.

I worked with Bruce for several years at AAA, he was such a kind hearted man, sorry to hear of his passing. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.
