Allison, I am very sorry to hear about your dad. He was a very wonderful man. He taught me quite a bit when I was much younger. I participated with the CRC Tumbling team but not on the Dunham team. I remember many of the competitions so well. As I got older and ventured out into the state competitions I ended up on two different Gymnastics teams and then sign on at the gym when your dad was at Vandergriff Gymnastics, on Race and Bridgetown. I heard it is still running, good to know that what he loved to do is still carrying on. I just recently heard from my brother who ran into Rusty Gibson about your father. Even though it has been so long it is not easy. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family.
Sincerely
Missy Venturini-Lundy

Dear Amy and Allison - I am so sorry for your loss. Your Dad meant the world to me and taught me so much!!
So many memories came flooding back - winning 1sr Place in our FIRST CRC City Tumbling meet, performing at XU and UC halftime games, performing in the Harvest Home parade,, going out west to the competition in Kansas. Those were some of my best CRC memories!
Now, your Dad is with your wonderful Mom, your Grandpa, Gary Robers (who so admired your Dad) and many , many others whose lives were touched by your Dad.
My love to you two! Karen Montavon

Please accept my condolence. A comforting thought at Ps 37:29 assures us of a time when we will no longer lose our loved ones. I hope this thought helps you cope during this difficult time.

Will always remember Mr. Vandergriff smiling in front of the Heart sign at the Mount. Hope you all do the same rather than the difficult days with time. I can imagine that same smile when he saw your Mom in Heaven. He enjoyed his time with family and helping other children accomplish their goals. His life is a great legacy. May God comfort you all and help you remember many happy times.
