Elaine M. Lebert
1939-2012 NORTH ADAMS Elaine M. Lebert 73, of 1040 Massachusetts Ave. North Adams, died Thursday December 13, 2012 at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield.
She was born in North Adams on October 2, 1939 a daughter of the late Gerald and Doris (Comtois) Lebert. She graduated from the former St. Joseph High School in 1958 and from Anna Maria College in 1963. She then received her master's in Education from North Adams State College now MCLA in 1969.
She taught Latin and French at Drury High School for 38 years where she also was the department chairperson and the senior class advisor. She was a longtime communicant of Notre Dame Church in North Adams where she was active in all parish activities include the parish council, Fun Fest and the religious education program.
Survivors include a sister and brother-in-law Dianne Bunting and her husband Gerald of North Adams. Two nephews Toney Lee of West Sand Lake, N.Y., and Gerald Lee and cousins. She also leaves a very dear and longtime friend Ann Wilton of North Adams.
Graveside services will take in the springtime in the family plot in Southview Cemetery, North Adams. There are no calling hours.
