SCHREIBER
Joseph P., age 86, of Vernon passed away on Sunday, November 18, 2012 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in The Bronx, New York on August 21, 1926 to the late Bernard and Estelle Schreiber, he had lived in Teaneck before moving to Sussex County. Mr. Schreiber had been the owner-operator of Schreiber Trucking and Transfer in Teaneck and had retired from Teaneck Board of Education. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family as well as time outdoors. He spent many hours listening to his music collection, frequented various flea markets and enjoyed getting a bargain. He was predeceased by his brother, Harold. Mr. Schreiber is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Mickey; his two sons, Joseph Schreiber and his wife Ruth of Vernon and John Schreiber and his wife Kathy of Sparrowbush, New York; his two daughters, Patricia McCooey and her husband James of Sparrowbush, New York and Barbara Yetter and her husband Walter of Wantage; twelve grandchildren, James and Michael McCooey, Amy Ross, Joseph Schreiber, Heather Thompson, Gail Kaszynski, Todd O'Brien, John and Hope Schrieber, Dustin and Barry Glass, and Mark Yetter; and seventeen great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 AM at the Pinkel Funeral Home, 31 Bank Street (Route 23), Sussex. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 AM on Saturday, November 24, 2012 at St. Monica R.C. Church, 33 Unionville Avenue, Sussex. Private cremation services being held at the convenience of the family. Friends may pay their respects to the family on Friday from 4-7 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations may be made in Joseph's memory to the American Cancer Society, 7 Ridgedale Avenue, Cedar Knolls, NJ 07927.
