LYONS
Arlene, died peacefully Wednesday, February 20, 2013 in Livingston, NJ after a 2 year battle with lung cancer. She was 72.
Formerly Arlene Kanter, she was born in Passaic, New Jersey and retired to the sunny shores of Boynton Beach, Florida.
She is survived by her father Louis Kanter, her siblings Debbie, Betty, Allen and Karen, her daughter Rachael Barnes and son in law John Barnes, her son Ricky Bagolie and daughter in law Rosaura Bagolie and their grandsons Frank, Jacob, and Aaron as well as her prized pet shih tzu, Clancy, who she rescued from a local animal shelter.
Funeral services and burial will be held 10 AM graveside on Friday, February 22, 2013 at the West Lawn Cemetery, King Solomon Memorial Park Section, 550 Dwasline Rd., Clifton, NJ 07014 (973) 473-5646.
The family suggests that those wishing to honor her memory consider donations to Arlene's favorite charitable cause, the Humane Society at http://www.humanesociety.org/donate.
The family will sit Shiva at the home of her son Ricky on Friday following the service, continuing on Sunday February 24th and Monday Febuary 25th.

TO RICKY AND ALL OF ARLENE'S FAMILY. ARLENE AND I SHARED ALL OF OUR TEENAGE YEARS TOGETHER. ALTHOUGH WE DIDN'T SPEAK OFTEN, WHEN WE DID, IT WAS LIKE YESTERDAY. WE KNEW EACH OTHERS FAMILIES VERY WELL AND I CAN SAY THAT A PIECE OF ME DIED TOO WHEN I SAW HER IN THE BEAUTY SALON, I KNEW SHE WAS NOT WELL AND SHE SAID TO WAIT FOR HER CALL.
