POMPTON LAKES — Services were held for Louis M. Fierro Sr., 90, of Clifton, who died on Tuesday, July 16, 2013. He was the father of Michael of this community.
Born in Paterson, Mr. Fierro moved to Clifton in 1936. She worked for the Mosler Safe Co., Wayne, for 18 years before retiring in 1988. Also, he was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a parishioner of St. Philip the Apostle R.C. Church, Clifton. And, he was a member of AARP.
Services were Saturday at the Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, Clifton, followed by Mass at St. Philip the Apostle R.C. Church. Entombment was at Calvary Cemetery, Paterson. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the American Institute of Cancer Research, 1759 R St. NW, Washington, D.C. 20009.
Mr. Fierro also is survived by his wife, the former Evelyn Meli; his other son, Louis of Belmar; and three grandchildren.
He was predeceased by 13 brothers and sisters.
