BUTLER — Services were held for Clifford W. Hendricks, 56, of Manchester Township, who died on Monday, December 15, 2014. He was a former resident of this borough. Born in Jersey City, Mr. Hendricks lived in Butler before moving to Manchester two years ago. He was a territory manager with the Innocor Company in Pennsylvania. Services were Saturday at the Vander Plaat-Vermeulen Memorial Home, Franklin Lakes, followed by Mass at St. Catherine's R.C. Church, Ringwood. Donations may be sent to the American Heart Association, 1 Union St., Suite 301, Robbinsville, NJ 08691-4183. Mr. Hendricks is survived by his daughters, Stacey and Erica, both of Rockaway; his parents, Clifford and Dorothy of Ringwood; and his brothers, Robert of North Carolina and Craig of Vernon.

HENDRICKS Clifford W., 56, of Manchester Township passed away on December 15, 2014. Born in Jersey City he lived in Butler before moving to Manchester 2 years ago. He was Territory Manager with the Innocor Company in Pennsylvania. Clifford enjoyed concerts and sporting events but most of all he loved being a father and spending time with his two precious daughters Stacey and Erica. Beloved father of Stacey and Erica both of Rockaway. Devoted son of Clifford and Dorothy (nee Cooper) Hendricks of Ringwood. Dear brother of Robert Hendricks of North Carolina and Craig Hendricks and his wife Gina of Vernon. Loving uncle of Brady Hendricks. The family will receive family and friends on Friday from 4-8 PM at Vander Plaat-Vermeulen Memorial Home, 530 High Mountain Road, Franklin Lakes. HICKERSON Lawrence 'Larry,' age 61, of Little Falls, passed away on Wednesday, December 17, 2014. He was a self-employed contractor. Beloved husband of Phyllis (Anthony) Hickerson; dear father of Reneé, Crystal and Nicole; cherished son of Loretta (Dugan) Hickerson; loving brother of Ronald and his wife Judy Hickerson; devoted grandfather of Justin, Giovanni, Teresina, Philomena, and Gilanna; and dear uncle of many nieces and nephews. Hoffman, Dorothy* - Midland Park  
HOFFMAN Dorothy H. (nee Streelman), 95, of Belchertown, MA. died on December 17, 2014. Born in Midland Park, Dot raised her family there for many years before moving to Allendale in 1996 and then to Belchertown in 2008. Before her retirement Dot was a school bus driver with Murphy Bus Co. of Oakland. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Wyckoff and The American Legion Women's Aux. #130 of Midland Park. She was also a volunteer driver for The American Red Cross. Dorothy was predeceased by her beloved husband Herman H. Hoffman. She is survived by her loving daughter Phyllis White and husband Joseph of Belchertown, MA. and her loving son Glenn H. Hoffman and wife Donna of Midland Park. She leaves behind her dear sister Florence Tyler. Also surviving is her cherished granddaughter Susan Kenney and her companion Daniel Murphy. There are three beloved great-grandchildren Jacob, Kayleigh and James Kenney surviving. Also surviving two loving step grandchildren Peter White and wife Rene and Elizabeth White Chouinard and husband Robert. Also surviving a cherished step great-grandson Thomas White and three cherished step great grandchildren, Kathryn, Lillian and Madelyn Chouinard. She was predeceased by her loving brother Albert "Appy" Streelman and dear sister Jean C. Bakelaar. Funeral service Monday 11 AM at Browning-Forshay Funeral Home, 557 Lafayette Avenue, Hawthorne, NJ Interment to follow at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus. Visiting Sunday 2-4 PM. Holm, Martin* - Mahwah  
HOLM Martin D., 62 of Mahwah, passed away on December 14, 2014. Loving father of David Holm and his wife Sheila of Hawthorne, Kevin Holm of Hawthorne and Melissa Lau and her husband Christopher of Goshen, NY. Beloved son of Ruth Holm of Palm Bay, FL. Devoted grandfather of Andrew, Victoria, Christopher and Julia. Dear brother of Norman Holm of Palm Bay, FL and Raymond Holm of Melbourne, FL. Martin was born in Brooklyn, NY and grew up in Ridgewood but had been a Mahwah resident for the past 13 years. He was an Engineer working at K.S. Engineering in Newark for the past 15 years. He was an Air Force Veteran of Vietnam War. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, December 21st, 2014 at 12 Noon at the Cremation Society of New Jersey 470 Colfax Avenue Clifton. HOWER, Katherine* - Teaneck  
HOWER Katherine, (nee) Cashman, 80, of Teaneck, passed away on Wednesday, December 17, 2014. Beloved wife of the late Kenneth Sigmund. Devoted mother of Douglas K., Thomas R., and Kathleen S. Munter. Loving grandmother of Natalie and Evan Hower; Peri, Augustina, Kiera Mae and Peter Munter. Katherine attended Longfellow School in Teaneck and was a Teaneck High School graduate, Class of 1952. She then attended Pembroke College in Brown University, Class of 1956. Katherine worked for the Social Security Administration prior to owning a restaurant with Kenneth in Paramus, NJ. She was a former President of the Whittier School PTA, past president of the Teaneck League of Women Voters, secretary of the Ho-Ho-Kus Women's Club, Girl Scout Leader, Cub Scout Leader, Member of the Council of the Boy Scout Troop 33. In her retirement she spent many happy summers at Craft Lake, in Lakeville, PA, traveled the world on many wonderful trips and sat on the beach at her beloved Bonnet Shores, RI. Family and friends are invited for visitation on Monday, December 22 from 6-9 PM, at Volk Leber Funeral Home, 789 Teaneck Rd., Teaneck. Funeral Mass Tuesday, December 23, 10 AM at St. Anastasia's R.C. Church, 1095 Teaneck Rd., Teaneck. All to meet at Church. Interment to follow at St. Mary's Church Cemetery, Ledgedale, PA. Hubsmith, Robert J.* - Passaic  
HUBSMITH Dr. Robert J., 84, of Kinnelon, passed away on December 18, 2014. Born and raised in Passaic, Dr. Hubsmith graduated as salutatorian from Passaic High School in 1948. He attended Cornell University where he earned his BS in 1952 and his MD in 1956, and then completed his internship and residency at St. Luke's Hospital in New York City. He married Lois Landrie in 1957 and shortly after joined the US Navy where he served on the USS Leyte as part of the Medical Department from 1958 to 1960. In 1965, Robert and Lois settled in Kinnelon and Robert established his private practice, a practice he operated for over 30 years. During this time, Robert also worked in the emergency room at Chilton Hospital, where he served several terms as President, and the emergency room and trauma center at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. He also served as the team doctor for the Kinnelon Colts and the fire surgeon for the Kinnelon Volunteer Fire Department. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who loved to watch the New York sports teams and solve the New York Times crossword puzzles. Robert is survived by his wife of 57 years, Lois; his sons, Robert, Jr. and his wife Mary Ellen Meyer, and Edward; his daughter, Diane Nash and her husband Tim; and his grandchildren, Rebecca and Jacob Nash. A funeral service will be held 10:30 AM Monday, December 22, at the Community Church of Mountain Lakes, 48 Briarcliff Road, Mountain Lakes, NJ 07046. Interment will follow at Cedar Lawn Cemetery, Paterson. Visiting hours will be held from 1 - 5 PM Sunday, December 21, at the M. John Scanlan Funeral Home, 781 Newark Pompton Tpke., Pompton Plains. In lieu of flowers, donations in Robert's memory to the Kinnelon Volunteer Fire Department or American Diabetes Association or a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated by his family.

HUGHES, Agnes* - Bogota  
HUGHES Agnes (nee Hoar), of Bogota, NJ passed peacefully Saturday morning surrounded by family. Devoted wife for 60 years of John Hughes. Loving mother of Rita Hart and her husband Matt, Kathy Moreland and her husband Tom, Jack and his wife Joan, Eileen Hayden and her husband Curt, Marie Varon and her husband Tony, Chris and his wife Marleny and Colleen Rinke and her husband Joe. Agnes also leaves behind 19 grandchildren and one great-grandson. Agnes was born and lived her life in Bogota where she raised her family and was a lifelong parishioner of St. Joseph's Church where she was a Eucharistic Minister. Visiting at Petrik Funeral Home, 140 Palisade Ave., Bogota on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. All will meet at the funeral home on Tuesday at 8:30 AM for the Funeral Mass at St. Joseph's R.C. Church, Bogota at 9:30 AM.
