Calantropio, Louis (Editorial) - Lincoln Park  
LINCOLN PARK — Services were held for Louis James Calantropio, 95, of this community, who died on Friday, August 28, 2015. Born in New York City, Mr. Calantropio lived in Cedar Grove for 35 years and in Toms River for 20 years before moving to Lincoln Park. He was a switchboard assembler for Western Electric for 45 years before retiring in 1984. Also, he was a U.S. Army Air Force veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Pioneer Motorcycle Club of Western Electric and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers as well. Services were Tuesday at the Brigadier William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown. Arrangements were by the F. John Ramsey Funeral Home, Franklin. Donations may be sent to the American Center for Elemental Music and Movement, 1 Meadow Pond Road, Hamburg, NJ 07419; or to the Honor Flight of Southern New Jersey, c/o Pam Pontano, Williamstown High School, 700 North Tuckahoe Road, Williamstown, NJ 08094. Mr. Calantropio is survived by his wife, Caroline; his children, James Louis Calantropio of Hardyston Township, Steven Calantropio of Hardyston Township, Marianne Kendelski of Randolph, and Michael Calantropio of Phoenix, Ariz.; his brothers, Henry of Cedar Grove, and Richard of San Jose, Calif.; his grandchildren, Anthony, Jamie, Jodi, Deena, Matthew, and Kristin; and his great-grandchildren, Daniel, Amelia, Raegan, Jake, Ryleigh, Londyn, and Ashlynn. He was predeceased by his parents, Salvatore and Mary; his brothers, Joseph, Jerry, and Paul; his sister, Ginger Palmer; and his granddaughter, Melissa Bailey.

Cannon Sr., Edward* - Chestnut Ridge  
CANNON Edward Daniel, Sr., of Chestnut Ridge, NY died August 31, 2015 at age 97. Born February 17, 1918 in Hoboken, NJ to John and Madeline (Ferretti) Cannon. He honorably served in the US Army during WWII. Edward was one of the Founding Fathers and the First Treasurer of Chestnut Ridge, NY. For over 20 years he taught CCD for St. Joseph's Church and was an active member of the St. Anthony's Senior Club. Edward worked for the NYS Banking Department as a Bank Examiner and also worked for the Federal Reserve Bank. Predeceased by his wife Anne (Scully) Cannon and daughter Madeleine Byer. Survived by his loving children Barbara Jean Fairclough (husband Richard) and Edward Daniel Cannon (wife Terese), cherished grandchildren Christine, Keith, Matthew, Gena, Tracey, Andrew, Preston, Alexandra and Brandon, adored great-grandchildren Katie Jean, Nora, Natasha, Natalia and Callum, and devoted companion Joan Leckey. Visitation Thursday and Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Wanamaker & Carlough Funeral Home 177 Route 59 in Suffern, NY. Capar, Irena* - Clifton  
CAPAR Irena (Kokhanevych), 89, of Clifton, passed away on August 30, 2015. Beloved wife of the late Antony. Loving mother of Sophia Capar-Kalman of Tucson, AZ and Marta Korduba of Montville. Grandmother of Christina, Mark, Antonia and Adrian. Great-grandmother of Henry, Yuliana and Madeleine. Mrs. Capar was born in Turady, Ukraine and came to the US in 1949 settling in NYC before moving to Passaic then Garfield and lived the last 35 years in Clifton. She worked for Hoffman La Roche in Clifton for 25 years as a label controller. She was a parishioner of St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church in Passaic and was a member of the church choir and the St. Nicholas Seniors. Mrs. Capar was also a member of the UNWLA. Funeral from the Marrocco Memorial Chapel 470 Colfax Avenue Clifton on Thursday at 8:45 AM then to St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church at 9:30 AM. Interment St. Andrew's Cemetery So. Bound Brook. CARFAGNO Ida (nee Passero), of Cliffside Park, NJ, age 88. Ida was born on May 23, 1927 in Taurasi, Italy and came to the United States in 1952. She was a loving homemaker. CAROCIOLO Mary "Mae" (Devoted wife and Godmother Extraordinaire). 99, died Tuesday, September 1, in her Totowa home with her family by her side. Mae was born June 8, 1916, in Paterson, NJ, to Harry and Margaret Richards. She was a supervisor at Manhattan Shirt Company in Glen Rock, NJ for 25 years before retiring. Mae was a member of the Passaic Valley Elks Lodge #2111, AMVETS National Ladies Auxiliary in Totowa, NJ, and a faithful parishioner of St. James in Totowa, NJ. Aunt Mae, as she was known, through her world travels bestowed her poise and social graces upon everyone around her. Her vast experiences across the world granted her sharp wit and insightful perspective appreciated and loved by all who were blessed to know her. Beloved wife of the late Ben Carociolo, Devoted cousin and godmother to Veronica White and her daughter Maegan Hargis of Tampa, FL. Cherished godmother to Kathy and Earl Gilmore of Pensacola, FL and Maria Macchiarelli. Most beloved and dear friend to Maria Cowan of Lincoln Park, NJ. Relatives and friends are invited to meet at St. James, 410 Totowa Road on Thursday at 9:30 AM for her funeral mass. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa.
