COLLINS Marcia Ann (Whitmore), age 83, of Wayne passed away on Tuesday, June 30, 2015. She was employed by Chilton Memorial Hospital, Pequannock as a Registered Nurse for many years before retiring. Marcia was a member of Our Lady of The Valley R.C. Church. Beloved wife of Barry J., Loving mother of four daughters: Kathy, Ellen and her husband Michael Seebeck, Marybeth, Shelagh and her husband Robert Reilly and four sons: Barry and his wife Jeanmarie, Tim, Michael and Daniel and his wife Jen. Devoted grandmother of Sean, Kevin, Griffin, Colin, Liam, Victoria, Paige, Madison, Heather, Kaitlyn and Shannon. CONTRUCCI, Rita A. (Poggi)*  
CONTRUCCI Rita A. (nee Poggi), age 92 of Allendale passed away Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Brooklyn, NY and resided in Forest Hills, NY before moving to Allendale 30 years ago. Prior to her retirement, Rita was a secretary for Judge Pinto in Manhattan, NY. She was a member of Church of the Guardian Angel, Allendale and a member of the Allendale and Franklin Lakes Seniors Citizens groups. Rita is survived by her devoted husband of 65 years, Bruno F. Contrucci of Allendale, her children, Dr. Robert Contrucci and his wife, Emma of Hollywood, FL and Celeste Smith and her husband, Robert of Glen Rock, NJ. Rita is survived by her five adoring grandchildren, Christopher and Alison Smith, Anthony Contrucci and his wife, Melissa, Christina Harris and her husband, Casey and Jordana Ruiz and her husband Raul. Rita was also blessed with three great grandchildren, Kristoff, Aspen and Christian. Visiting hours will be held on Monday, June 29th from 2-4, 7-9 PM at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, www.vpfh.com , 257 Godwin Ave. Wyckoff, NJ 07481. Corsi, John* - Union City  
CORSI John J., 86, born and raised in Union City, NJ, moved to Cranford, NJ in 2010, passed away on June 29, 2015. John was a graduate of Emerson High School, Union City and of Erskine College, South Carolina. He then served as First Lieutenant in the U.S. Marine Corps. during the Korean War. Recipient of Korean Service Medal w/ 2 stars; and United Nations Service Medal. John was the former owner of Corsi's Auto Body & Repair in Union City and was then employed and retired in 1994 as sales agent for The Prudential Insurance Company. John was the beloved husband of Ginette Corsi, and devoted father to Monique Miller and her husband Jeffrey; Yvette Holler and her husband William; four loving grandchildren, Jennifer, Alyssa, Gregory and Brandon. John is survived by his sister, Vilma Briccola and many loving nephews, nieces and cousins. Son of the late, Julio and Marie Corsi and his loving sister the late, Julia Madsen. Visitation will be held on July 2, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Dooley Funeral Home, 218 North Avenue, Cranford, NJ. A funeral mass will follow on July 3, 2015 at 9:30 AM at St. Michael's Church, 40 Alden Street, Cranford, NJ. Internment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery- Mausoleum Entombment North Arlington, NJ. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in John's memory to the Alzheimer's Association.

Cowan, James Samuel* - Lincoln Park  
COWAN James Samuel, 72, of Lincoln Park, NJ, formerly of Montclair, NJ, passed away on Saturday, June 27, 2015 after a long battle with cancer. Son of the late James Cowan and Helena Hagan, Jim is survived by his wife, Maria (nee Macchiarelli), his son, James Thomas Cowan, his daughter, Christine Mary Cummings, his grandchildren, James Kavanagh Cummings, Emerald Grace Cowan and Michael Francis Cummings, his sister, Mary Edith O'Rourke and many friends whom he cherished. Cramer, John* - Lodi  
CRAMER John W., age 93, passed away at home on June 26, 2015. He was born on the 3rd Day of November 1921 in Indianapolis, Indiana to parents Arthur S. Cramer and Mabel Nylien. He is survived by Jean Cramer, his loving wife of 69 years; godson, Brian W. Busico; niece, Caroline Lackey and her husband Reynold; also great-niece, Lisa Lackey; great-nephew, Todd Lackey; and great-great-nephew, Adam Prouse. John attended Lodi High School in New Jersey and lettered in football and baseball. He served as President of The Varsity Club in 1942 and was honored by being selected as the outstanding athlete in his senior year. He attended Blue Ridge College in Maryland on a football scholarship. John also attended Rutgers University in Newark, NJ graduating in 1952 with a B.S. in Business Administration. As a proud American, John served his country on active duty in the Pacific area from 1942-46 with the U.S. Marine Corps attaining the rank of Staff Sergeant. In 1947 he joined VFW Post 809 in Little Ferry, NJ serving as Post Commander in 1955, followed by Bergen County Commander in 1960 and rose through the VFW ranks to become State Commander of New Jersey in 1965. John began his working career with Standard Oil Co. in 1947 as an accountant in Elizabeth, NJ and continued with the company as it evolved into Exxon. He was transferred from Towsen, Maryland to Kingwood, Texas in 1976. After some 35 years, he retired in 1982 as a Supervisor in the marketing Accounting section of Exxon Mobile in Houston, Texas. In 1984, he helped organize the Exxon Retiree Club of Lake Houston and served as its President in 1986. Also following retirement, John became one of six original golfing members of the OFWW at the Kingwood Country Club. John was an active member of the Kingwood Volunteer Fire Dept. serving as its Treasurer for 10 years. In 1991 he was honored as the Firefighter of the Year by the Department. He also became active as a volunteer at the Kingwood Medical Center in 1994 and served as Treasurer in the Gift Shop for 13 years. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 30, 2015 from 5:30-7:30 PM at the Darst Funeral Home, Kingwood, TX. Services to begin at 7 PM. Interment will take place on Monday, July 6, 2015 at 10:30 AM. at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ. Craper, Joan* - Paramus  
CRAPER Joan Patricia (Jolin), 82, of Paramus passed peacefully into eternal rest, embraced by loving family on June 26, 2015. Born to William and Dorothy Jolin in Concord, N.H., she resided in Fair Lawn and West Milford before moving to Paramus. Beloved wife and soulmate of the late Samuel Craper. Loving and devoted mother of Doreen Chelstowski and husband Stephen. Cherished and adored grandmother of Andrew and Emma. Dear sister of Florence Comstock and husband Richard and the late Eva, Dorothy, Patricia, Bobby, Sonny and Wesley. Dear sister-in-law of John Craper. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Her extensive education and training began as a 1954 cum laude graduate of New Hampshire State Hospital School of Nursing with her Registered Nursing degree. Joan went on to be Critical Care Nursing certified by Rutgers University in 1968, AAS with honors from Fairleigh Dickenson University in 1973, a BA degree in Sociology magna cum laude from Fairleigh Dickenson University in 1976, Advanced Critical Care Certification from Hackensack Hospital in 1976, M.A. in education magna cum laude from Seton Hall University in 1979 and an Ed.D. from Fairleigh Dickenson University in 1987. In 1954, Joan began her long and distinguished professional career at Jersey City Medical Center. Her career included Head Nurse of St. Francis Hospital, Operating Room Supervisor at Fairmount Hospital, Recovery Room Charge Nurse at Christ Hospital, Supervisor, Director of In-service, Director of Nursing and Assistant Administrator of Saddle Brook General Hospital, Director of Nursing of Christian Health Care Center and completed her career as the Executive Vice President at Ramapo Ridge Psychiatric Hospital in Wyckoff. Her many professional and educational memberships include Harvard Nurses Study, former President of the NJ State Nurses Association, Bergen-Passaic In-service Educators Association, American Nurses Association Continuing Education Council, Doctoral Students Association, NJ Society of Nurse Administrators where she served on the Legislative Committee, American Society of Nurse Administrators, NJ & American Hospital Associations and the Psi Omega Epsilon and Psi Chi Honor Societies. Joan received many professional accolades for her work including election to the 1988 Who's Who in American Women, N.H. Hospital School of Nursing Citation of Merit in 1988 and a senate proclamation on the event of her retirement. After retirement, Joan filled her time reading, traveling with her husband and in her most treasured role of doting grandmother. The family will receive relatives and friends Sunday, June 28, 2015, 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Vander Plaat-Caggiano Funeral Home, 13-31 Saddle River Road, Fair Lawn, NJ, 201-797-3500. A funeral service is planned for Monday, June 29, 2015, 10 AM at the funeral home. Entombment will follow at Garden of Memories in Washington Township. Crimmins, Denise* - Hoboken  
CRIMMINS Denise C., 60, a lifelong Hoboken resident, passed away Friday, June 26, 2015, in the presence of her loving husband of 34 years Laxman Green at Hoboken University Medical Center. Denise was an executive assistant and legal secretary in Manhattan for many years. Denise had a great zest for life and enjoyed rock and roll music. Besides her husband, she will be sadly missed by a brother, Thomas Crimmins Jr., and three sisters; Kathleen Paugh, Eileen Elphick, and Doris Hetzel, and a host of cherished nieces, great nieces and nephews and cousins. Denise was predeceased by her parents, retired Hoboken Police Det. Lt. Thomas Crimmins and her mother, Doris (nee Wolf) a brother, John and two sisters, Barbara Shalloo, and Ruth Waller. Funeral Mass will be offered on Tuesday, 10 AM, at St. Francis R.C. Church, Hoboken. A private cremation will take place at East Ridgelawn Crematory, Clifton. Continuous visitation will be held at the Failla Memorial Home, 533 Willow Avenue, on Monday beginning at 3 PM and concluding at 8 PM. There will be no visitation prior to the funeral mass. Relatives and friends are asked to gather at St. Francis Church by 9:30 AM prior to the celebration of the Eucharist. Parking is available at the funeral home and the church.
